Default Welding Stainless Steel

for all you guys who weld out there... i just wanted to know if you need any special type of spool to use when you weld stainless steel or just the regual kind for regular steel should do it?

your probably also going to need to change your gas unless your already running 100% argon. and r u goona mig that? if so i hope you have one hell of a welder or your going to run into problems. your better off tig welding it

a real noob question here, but what do you use for filler when TIG welding? MIG wire?

no man they make filler rods for tig welding. i gues if u r despirate then u could use mig wire but that would suck.

309 rod is the most common you do need(or should have) stainless rod

straight argon is good for aluminum and stainless.

I think i will just stick to plain steel... and just get this ---- ceramic coated.... thanks guys... i was asking this cause i wanted to buy a MIG welder so i can start manufacturing Turbo manifold and downpipes that work with the SAAB turbo, cause it seams thats the one most people use??
