Looks like next weekend.

BTW, guys? I don't own a dyno, and in typical HMT fashion this thread is scorched earth - I can't point either dyno shop I'm tight with to this thread and have them willing to assign their rep to the ---- stink widefool AND some others created here.

can't you edit their posts for that. Normally I wouldn't say that, but its for a good cause.

I can only edit posts in threads I create. This forum is not my designated playground.

Throwing myself... CRUNCH TIME updates!

Alright so it's set for this weekend to head to NC to see Mr. JD tenativly scheduled for saturday.

MEANWHILE it's Wednesday....I've just determined I'm gonna have to swap in a new water pump.

No problem right?

to compound the issue I've got this 93 Isuzu rodeo I'm doing a timing belt/oil pump/oil pan gasket on(thats not at my house so not near all my tools)....well if anyone else has ever worked on one o these and tell me the MAGICAL ------- REASON i can't get this oil pan to drop to save my life is, then you can have custom nude pics of my girlfriend smeared with orange chicken with a custom message of your choice written accross her tits.

The car is on the ground, had to remove center steering link and radiator to get clearance for this bullshit. ALL BOLTS ARE REMOVED, uses RTV to seal it, no gasket. this cock sucker will not come off.

ALSO

2001 kia piece of ---- spectra throwing me every emission related CEL in existence (purge flow, evap, 02, cat) and a to lean condition.
car has to pass smog by next monday according to customer. (shitty gas cap may be causing 3 of them)

What does all this mean? It means I Love HMT, I Love cars, I love pressure and I'm most certainly going to enjoy backing one of these cars off a ------- cliff in order to lighten the workload.

See ya this weekend in North Carolina JD, ripper vids and pics for the rest of you soon to follow :y

thanks again everybody

Re: Throwing myself upon your mercy

i would defintly try the gas cap on the kia first. is it a stock cap or one of those shitty lockable ones? when i worked at nissan we had a guy that was dead set on using this lockable gas cap but he always got CEL's. i kept telling him it was the gas cap but he didnt want to change it. since the truck was under warranty i changed it anyway and didnt tell him. he cam back a couple days later and told me he wasnt going to use the lockable cap anymore. lol

as for the oil pan, is it not moving at all, or you just cant get it to come out? if its not moving at all then i dont have a clue really, just get a big rubber mallet and hammer away, if its free form the engine but wont come out, im willing to bet you cant get it past the pickup tube. probably have to lift the engine some or remove whatever x-member is in the way. also remember to remove the dipstick. i know those are stupid things, but sometimes even the best of us get caught by stupid ---- when we are stressed

ok this is going to sound stupid but there is an air filter on the gas filler neck and and if you have not changed it it will cause an emmisions code. exspecially if you live in a dusty area like on a dirt road. there is actually a technical servise builliten about it. this is the kia technical website http://www.kiatechinfo.com/TechInfo/...cu_no=84&page=
i dont know if you can look at becuase you have to sign up but. this is what it says only with a picture too.

When diagnosing evaporative system problems associated with canister close valve (vent valve) trouble, don’t forget to check the condition of the vent filter. Most vent filters are inside the canister housing under the vehicle. (Spectra filter is mounted to the left of the leak detection pump) The canister close valve mounts to the filter. In areas with a lot of dust or dirt roads, the filter may clog and give the same symptoms as a sticking canister close valve (MIL on with evap related codes or refueling problems).
