i have an 88 crxdx..and when i first start up the car it idles quite high..around 2grand..for about 20 minutes or so..sometimes worse then others..at that time..the ecu tells me i need an o2 sensor..but as soon as it begins to idle normal..light goes off..also...no matter when i'm driving or how it is idling the rpms like to stick when i change gears..i'm gonna get a new o2 sensor but i'm not sure that will solve my problems..any ideas?

well if your cel is telling you to replace the 02 sensor, you probly should do it. and about the throttle boddy being stuck open, i would clean that thing out, try some carb cleaner

sounds like the fast idle thermo valve is sticking open.

cool..thanks guys...i'm not really worried about it too much cuz i'm gonna do mpfi swap in about a month or so..i jsut wanted to get it figured out for now
