You own a honda its a given:)

I don't care what anyone drives if they are into their ride, and are making it quick and not rice, they have my respect. Everyone has their own taste.

Looks good as far as DSMs go. Never really been a fan but you've got some potential with that car.

How heavy is that head?

I've never seen someone use an engine hoist to take a head off before.

Anubis_4_99 03-14-2006 01:14 PM

Re: For those who wanted to see pictarz of my DSM...

there not really heavy enough to warrent the engine hoist, but some people are lazy or prefer to do it the easier ways

Re: For those who wanted to see pictarz of my DSM...

the IC piping came with the car. ;)

Thanks for everyone that recognizes my work, its was a long paintful process, but its paying off.. :)

F250 gave me a thumbs down today because I was hanging with him at 90mph
haha, ------- homos. :-\

My head is not that heavy, I just used the picker to hold it in the air while I cleaned the surface really well and checked everything out to make sure it was good. :P

My car has gone 300 miles without a problem so far............................
other than the blown head gasket that I didn't do....

That first pic looks real sweet. Nice and clean. Everyone says dsm's are always breaking. ??? I had a 91' tsi. I drove it for 35,000 miles and didn't have a single problem. It was a quick, fun, and reliable car for me. I also had a 90' non-turbo eclipse. I didn't have any real problems with that either. Just a surging idle when cold. I guess I got lucky.

DId you end up going with a MLS (multi layer steel) headgasket? I have a couple friends with 11 second dsm's. i just wish the axles/tranny's could take the abuse we through at them.. lol. :-\

What size injectors are you running? How much boost?

from your post it sounds like you werent boosting 15+ psi which is why you probably didnt have any problems ;)

i spent 2K the first month replaceing ----, clutch exploded, wheel studs snapped, wheel fell off! master and slave clutch cylinders went out, bushing ripped in half, etc. it adds up pretty quick

Re: For those who wanted to see pictarz of my DSM...

why did your 1G have a 7-bolt in it? they came stock with 6-bolts...

Re: For those who wanted to see pictarz of my DSM...

Some time in may of 1992 they switched to the 7 bolt.

Heh, good luck with the 16g. A lot of people watching the turbo progress on my project says the 16g is too small for the 2.2 SOHC... oh well

Looks clean man

Thanks bro, no a 16g will suit you well although I dont know any details of your setup.

7bolts come in 93+ T/E/L
as well as some late 92's

I had the 7 bolt witht he awsome 4 bolt everyone wants, AND the 93 "big brakes" that all the 90-92 guys upgrade to.
the only year they made a 6/4 combo was 92
Never was a 6/4/Big brake year.
Luckly I have all three now. Brakes Motor and Rear end.

90-91's(1ga) came with 3 bolt rears. Not as strong as the 4 bolt 92-94 (1gb) I also think that the 2ga and 2gb (95-96 - 97-99) DSM's came with 4 bolts as well. Everyone wants the 6/4 combo especially the 7 bolt guys. Then if they have the smaller brakes they upgrade to the 93-94 "big brakes"
