Thinking of getting a new car

Well i might be getting rid of the ------'d out Envoy. It's a sweet truck but just not practical and 22's combined with most of the roads around here just sucks.
So I've been thinking of a Volvo wagon I on;y want to spend at most $5-6000 canadian
here is a couple I've been considering
#1) 99 V70R Turbo AWD auto. $10000( i know it's more then i said)

#2)95 850 5spd $5000

#3) 97 857 AWD 5spd $3750 says there is a tranny problem

Any other ideas?

I don't miss my 850T at all. I vow upon this day that I will never buy another Euro car. I'd say go with a Subie. Cheaper parts and bigger aftermarket. How many AWD Volvo's do you find at the junkyards... :X Plus those Volvo wagons are HUGE and HEAVY!!!. Not to mention they have those goofy ass 5 cylinders and alot of Volvos are auto.

Re: Thinking of getting a new car

why didn't you liek your 850? What are common problems with these?

stillnoturbo 01-14-2007 10:12 PM

Re: Thinking of getting a new car

Alot of electrical stuff...ummm the driver seat stop working since their all adjusted electronically. Thats a big thing with the 850's and with it being leather their not cheap either. I loved how it looked and drove but damn it was like the sec the first thing went wrong then it just snowballed from there. First time the CEL went on and I had it checked there were like 4-5 things that came up with it. It was the first time it went on since I owned the car....things like...o2 sensors(there's 2 $$)knock sensors(there's 2 also), EGR valve, some other ---- too. The car had under 100k too. No more euro cars for me.

Go check on sites like swedespeed and volvospeed. Volvospeed is like the HT of volvo sites as they have their fair share of noobs and guys who you though designed the cars they know so much.
