Thinking about getting a different car

Thinking about getting a different car
I'm looking at getting a 90 VW Corrado G60. It has 101,000 miles on it, looks to be in pretty good shape except that the supercharger needs rebuilt. I used to have a corrado a few years ago and i love the styling of the car and the suspension and the brakes. I don't appericate some of the problems that come with the VW, like electrical problems. I used to get frustrated working on it, b/c i was mainly a honda person for years and i could fix about anything on a honda in no time, than i get a VW and it i would spend so much time trouble shooting problems that i would get frustrated. The guy is asking $2000 for it and said that he wants to get atleast $1600 out of it. I'm wondering if it's worth it ? I found rebuild kits for the supercharger for about $200 and i found a write up of how to do the rebuild, doesn't look too hard. Opnions ?

I've always loved the looks of the car.....If it is cheap to rebuild it, I would get it, fix it, enjoy it for a few weeks then resell it for a little more. If you already know the car a bit, then do it.

Re: Thinking about getting a different car
check blue book price, check resale values, and check your local listings or maybe a vw board to see how much they are selling for.
I would still pay $3-4k and feel good about a decent condition corrado.
