Think I got fucked on some dsm injectors?
Well I got some injectors off a dude on craigslist and when I got them one of the injectors is missing the little black cap on the bottum and another is cracked. Is there anyway to fix that ----? I can't post pics bc my ------- comp is fucked up
that suxs for you!!!!!
How much did you pay, if you we're told you were getting 4 good injectors then yes, you got fucked.
Those are the pintel caps. You should be fine without them.

You can get them from Auto Parts Palace - BMW parts, Honda parts, VW Parts, and other parts for all makes and models. Oem and discount car parts at 60% off Dealer Cost and we have International Shipping. Free shipping on orders over $50 I thinl they were like $.58 each

Or you can send 'em in to witchhunter.com - he'll replace 'em.

It should befine or get them tested..........

Spending $50 on a set of used injectors and getting a missing pintle cap isn't getting fucked. If you're so worried then nut up and spend some money. That's what you get for buying ass cheap/used parts. If it was CL. didn't you buy them in person and inspect them first?
And to answer your question; you can run them without pintles. Just make sure the seals fit snug. What should really concern you more is that you're about to stick some unknown mileage (90% chance super high mileage) injectors in your car without even having them tested. Then when you drop compression in a hole from running uber lean; you can consider that fucked. Your current definition of getting fucked is pretty ridiculous. They're used DSM injectors and you get what you pay for. Maybe if you paid $500 for them and they didn't cycle I'd consider it getting owned, but no matter what you can't get fucked over a $50 bill rofl. |
don't bother trying to fix it. Buy another one and dont risk it
Listen to the "WISER" guys. You'll be FINE running WITHOUT those pintle caps. As 2G6 mentions, you should be more worried about how many miles are on those injectors instead of the missing pintle caps.
I would spend the extra $40-50 bux and send them into a KG Parts to get them cleaned, flowed, and the pintles replaced. KGParts.com - Fuel Injector Cleaning & Flow Testing Services Definitely worth it in my opinion. No need to send them to RC injectors... they just cost more and do the same damn thing. |
ya i agree your fine, nobody likes a crack but odds are they will work fine
are theses good for a d15 set up?
I ran 6 of em with no pintle caps on my 280z with a turbo. You will be fine.
u should be fine with them i havent had a problem
