Default That thing that bolts to the frame

I have a 93 civic DX with a 1.5L. There is a bracket bolted on the drivers side of the block below the engine mount that bolts to the frame, I think this is for cars that are equiped with power steering to mount the pump? Would it be ok to remove this piece for some extra clearance for my turbo or is it a stablizer of some sort?

If you remove that, your car will crumple like a tin can.

Bahaha, I wouldn't remove it completely. I had to cut a chunk out of mine to clear the wastegate. Just cut what you need off of it. As long as it is still connected to the frame you are ok.
