The week before last someone ransacked my wife and my cars. They emptied out all of the stuff in our glove compartments and center consoles. My gauges were stolen out of my Civic and an mp3 player out of her car. We usually didn't lock out doors but started as soon as this happened.
Then last week someone broke the side window in my work truck and stole my briefcase containing a laptop and my digital camera, not to mention all of my sales information.
This morning i woke up around 7AM and went to get something out of my garage and some stupid ---- tried to get the door open with a screwdriver. Now my key won't work and i cant even get to my car which is inside.
I thought I lived in a fairly nice neighborhood and we basically keep to ourselves. I moved out of Baltimore area to get away from this ---- and now in rural southern pa I'm going through it all over again. Some of our misfortune is probably our fault but it sucks none the less. Having two young children were starting to feel unsafe in our own homes.
Think its time to hide in the backyard with a baseball bat and take my revenge out on anyone who decides to wander onto my property.
Sorry just ranting a little bit...

Can you fence in the yard? How about a camera system? Do you have motion lights? I like the hide in the bush with a bat idea, to bad it can get you in more trouble then the basterds stealing your stuff.

I have a chain link fence around the yard already. Only problem is that its four feet. I'm going to get some motion lights this weekend. Camera system would be nice but its probably expensive as ----.

Street justice FTW!!! Capture them and keep them locked in your basement. Beat them daily multiple times. Then hobble them and let them out. They will tell all their theif friends you are a bad mother ****** and to steer clear.
