hah, I just saw on the news last night, the evangelist guy rev. popov (not the cheap liquor) or something, the one that "healed" people on tv. He was giving out "free" holy water...and when people got it mailed to them, it came with a packet of sanctified holy salt (regular ---- you get at mcdonalds) that they were supposed to sprinkle on a $27 check wrote to him for good fortune. It also came with a ky tube of blessed holy water that they were supposed to drink...then pay him some money. On the commercial he says "call for the free holy water. if you follow the instructions, blessings will come to you." The reporter tried to interview him as he got into his porsche, but he drove off.

What kind of churches do you see locally? I drive a car 2x as nice as any of the local pastors, minus the catholic guys, they're loaded. And at my old church the pastor lived in a run down 2 story home and drove a late 80's taurus. Yup, he sure is in it for the money though huh?

And this kid is totally trying to ride the coattails of the DaVinci Code. This ---- was found in 1980, and he's trying to exploit it solely for profit. Oh well, more power to him.

Yeah, the bad thing is that he was already called out years ago on another news show and everyone found out he was a fake. Now he's at it again. Last year they collected over 23 million, and he claimed $600k for himself, and $600k for his wife, and $600k for each of his kids... Last time he was called out, someone brought a scanner into his sermon, and picked up a frequency of the pastor's wife telling him personal information about people in the audience she collected before the sermon so that he can seem like a miracle worker / psychic...it's some pretty lowdown ----.

i was raised Catholic, and my priest drove a late 80s Taurus. there wasnt ---- for money in the Catholic church...

i go to church occasionally and its still the same. ive visited the Mormon church as well and the leaders of the church dont get ---- from the tithing people pay. like i said before, they work regular jobs...

Oh man thats low Seems theres shitty people everywhere but a lot of religious folk like to use it for personal gain

BTW, I wonder what other religions think of this. Jews would be pointing the finger saying "told ya so" since they don't believe in Jesus at all... wonder what the muslims think? Since they believe Jesus was taken straight from Earth to Heaven, although they'd probably say it was Judas' body... hmm

The catholic guys around here drive newer Caddy's and the like. I'm not saying all of them do.

I'm sure theres leaders in every sect of religion that profit somehow and drive a nice *** car. Corruption isn't confined to any one particular religion.

"believe in Jesus" = I meant believe that he was more than what he claimed to be. They believed him to just be a regular old joe who was looney.

I actually work with Jesus....Jesus Mendoza. He smokes like a smokes like a chimney and drives an old beatup Caravan with the virgin mary sticker on the back with his last name in old english font right above it.
