Depends on what size tire you run, if you put on a 225/50-15 you should have little to no gap would look pretty good.
How wide on 15s?

Stop for a second and reread my post, it has the size right there.

I reread your post... and I'm still curious why you'd want to run 225/50R15 tires.
195/50R15 is the right size. 205/45 maybe... but 225 is no good.

yeah 225/50's sidewalls are 15 millimeters taller than the 195/50's . 195/50's are what you want.

I'd run 225/50-15's for the extra wide footprint and extra grip.

you would most likley need spaces to run anything that wide so it doesnt rub. also 50 walls are to tall for 225's. the "50" is a percentage of the width of the tire and if you put 225/50's on the car its going to be larger than the orignal circumfrence of the wheel and throw the speedometer off. if you were going to run 225/s you would need 40 or 45 walls. neither is going to have the exact same circumfrence as a 195/50/15's

The "right" size is whatever size you want to run, unless you're worried about having to adjust speedo's accuracy. And no you don't have to run spacers to fit those tires, they're on my crx no problem lowered 2.5" front 2.25" rear.

well if you were running 225/50's every revolution of the wheel would be 74.9 inches where the 195/50's are going to be 71.2 inches every revolution. its only like a 5%/4 inch diffrence a revolution.

211.4 revolutions to get down the quarter mile with the 225/50's

222.4 revolutions to get down the quarter mile with the 195/50's

so i guess it doesnt realy matter if you run 50 walls in 225's or not

I am convinced that on full lock, 225/50R15 will rub the inner fender or frame.
I am running 215, and I've had to do quite some work to stop them from rubbing.
No spacers tho.

Also, why would you want to run that high a tire? 40 profile would give a considerable less amount of wall roll.
Except if you're using them for dragracing. Then all rules are out the window.

Tire pricing and availability was my concern.
