I like hx rims myself, i think ive seen some people use miata rims that are like 9 pounds each, dont know much about that though.

in the winter it would be better to get narrower tires. smaller contact patch = more downforce per square inch.

----, i live in NH and we see our fair share of snow and i had rota slipstreams with kumho escta and they were ok. ITS NOT ALWAYS THE TIRE BUT THE DRIVER

A all half worn all season tire would get you more traction than those.

I have Kumho's in the WRX, I like them, but then again, I have no snow in florida, and the rain is fun with AWD

Funny story, one time with my old civic, I was looking to get some 17" tires and saw an add on the paper for some used tires, 6 17's for $50. So I call it was an old guy. I asked them what type of tires and what size they where.

He told me there where some "***-Hoes", well he pronounced it that way, then he asked me why I was laughing.
