Thank you Blaast Performance!!!
I cannot say enough about Guillaume and Blaast... We had a misunderstanding about what I was expecting... That is to say I was confronted with a pricetag of 100 dollars more than we had agreed to on the phone (Rebuild-=Reman)... He said it was due to the thrust bearing being 360 degree instead of 270 (Which had been discussed in the phone conversation, I TOLD him it had the 360 degree)...
I called bullshit, I TOLD you what I had... You agreed.... Went back and forth for a little minute or two.... I got frustrated, he tolerated my bullshit and actually did me even better than I had expected at first as per our original agreement. Replaced an Oil starved P-trim shaft/Turbine wheel for free. I have read both good and bad about the place, but I can definitively say without a doubt that he is a stand up guy, and goes out of his way to please his customers.... I am VERY happy with the service... and the patience he exuded dealing with my half flailing freakout, and not only did he work the situation out with me, he did one better by replacing something for me that needed it without further adue. THANK YOU GUILLUAME.... You get two thumbs up from me. Send me some stickers so I can get your name on the car for Battle. :6 Your help is most appreciated!!! Brian |

I usually only lie about havimg a single cam, running racegas, or the amount of boost im making..... Some seem to think Im going with abigger turbo... :4
Who can say for sure... Im pretty full of ---- when I want to be.... A S372 wont fit on the manifold... SO that snail is out of the ? though |
Re: Thank you Blaast Performance!!!
It will fit if you don't run the S400 cover.

iono, the gt40 was resting on the rubber cover on the alternator. |
Re: Thank you Blaast Performance!!!
Excuses. He can swap to a D-series alternator like half of the H22 guys already have.

id love to see him do this. or have me make a twinscroll manifold for him and a new dp, maybe 4in and aluminum to make his car sound worse. |

The alternator is the least of the problems.. I have ALOT of room up front.. The actual issue is that nothing bigger than a Gt40xx frame will fit the manifold... If I were to feel the need to put another FRAME on it it would be the 4094R..... I like the lazy boy.... It makes power.... good power. Im not biting on the BW bandwagon... No ------- way am I spending that much on a journal bearing turbo. Ive read the info, seen the charts, know how they perform, and still think that a 4094R is the best choice for what I want... Tehre IS a 67mm wheel upgrade available for my snail though... According to some; Ive went that route... DId I???? WHo cares... The thinkg is redonkulous as it was before.... Let alone what I would like to do later. |

Oh, wait, Borg are cheaper than GT series. Didn't you know that Bullseye buys $550 BW units and swaps housings around, then sells for 100% markup? Wait, that's the price I was quoted, Bullseye probably gets them cheaper buying in bulk... |

So you'd rather spend that money for a fragile ball bearing unreliable piece of ----? Oh, wait, Borg are cheaper than GT series. "lazy boy" is the Name bequethed upon teh M4nifoldz. Still, NOt interested in the BW unit... 4094R please. |
Re: Thank you Blaast Performance!!!
this is somehow completely off topic, but on topic at the same time. Blaast did a damn good job for me with my turbo. he replaced my turbine wheel at no extra charge when i sent him my turbo and now he says he will replace the compressor wheel for only the cost of parts even though the chipped blades arent his fault.
you make one run without some sort of screen and suck up some unused ac compressor plugs. what the hell? |

I been rockin' my Blaast turbo and sticker for almost a year now, and they're both still going strong. I'm wary of all the bad feedback I've seen here lately, but I'll probaly send him my business until I HAVE a bad experience myself. |
Re: Thank you Blaast Performance!!!
i would never rock a blaast performance homosexual sticker on my hmt ride :3 :3 :3 :3
|
Re: Thank you Blaast Performance!!!
I'm sensing politics going on. First, someone didn't get put on blaast? And second, BDVT didn't call anyone a nanny yelper. A deal must have been struck.
Regardless, stickers are for truly free ish. $40+ |

"unreliable piece of ----"
Ha, Maybe for the ------s that can't keep their oil clean. I've havn't had a problem in over 30K miles with the SAME turbo and its been beat the ---- out of. I've actually never once had a problem with them.. And i've never hooked the water lines up either. |
Re: Thank you Blaast Performance!!!
And I wouldn't have made this post until i got the turbo back and tried it :-/

You cant rebuild a bb turbo, and they ARE more fragile.... BUT, I think a 4094R would be ridonkulous on my car..... Theres a CHRA program you can get on that you can procure the center sections for the Gt SERIES dbb snails for around 500 bux. Not bad, as the BB turbos DO have a better transient response... Id rock a BW unit IF i got a deal on it, but thats not happening unless I get a different manifold. I assure all that my car spools the ---- out of what I have, its a wicked powerband, but very drivable and feather friendly...... Ill post pics of the snail when I get it back. |
Re: Thank you Blaast Performance!!!
H22's spool the same turbos as Supras, only quicker.
You can't replace some $8 valvetrain and rev H22 to 10K, though. Alas. |
Re: Thank you Blaast Performance!!!
JD. Please pm me more about what youre saying here...
Youve got my attention. |

I have a sc61 that needs a new turbine shaft, and compressor wheel needs trimming because it made contact with the housing. and bearings 360* I wonder how much he will charge to rebuild it. |

I think he was saying that its more expensive to be able to rev a H to 10K than it is to rev a Supra to 10K ?

Re: Thank you Blaast Performance!!!
Look at the valves sometime. Wierd engines.
|
Re: Thank you Blaast Performance!!!
GT BB are rebuildable too actually.
Garrett won't sell the internals but we have the replacement piston rings custom made elsewhere. They are actually stagger gap piston ring, which is an upgrade from stock and the garrett ball bearings are replaced by ceramic ones that are slightly larger because they don't expand. And yes, There is always the GArrett CHRA exchange program for the real worn out ones. |
