----. mines 3" with Ghetto Bends all the way back to my no name muffler. Nice deep tone, and quiter then my 2.25" wit a rice boy fart can and turbo!

I'd say do it, all it really comes down to is how you want the car to sound (loud, stock, quiet, like your cars got bunghole seapage etc...), once you figure that out you can decide what you need

i run a 2.5" mandrel downpipe, 3" flexpipe, 3" pipe w/ mandrel bends and resonator...no muffler. sounds great, same whp at 2psi less, quicker spool, and still quieter than when i was n/a w/ greddy evo.

so if i go 2.5 or even 3", it should make it a nice deep tone and not as loud as my stock piping correct?

Just try and get atleast one resonator in there to take out the rasp, and itll sound pretty decent.

I rock a HMT 3" with 2 resonators and no muffler. sounds just fine.
