well the teg got totaled by a f250 at idle. crushed everything behind the driver door.
looking, and found a 02 spec v for a good price.
gonna pick up where i left off on my old spec, this one will inherit the t3 and other stuff from its predecessor. about 8 psi and it will be fun, and good for low 13's.

Sentra Spec V's suck dirty pirate ass. They are hard on gas and are big POS cars. My friend had one that just fell apart after 3 years.

Here's a list of problems he had with it:

- blown engine due to cat disintegrating (stock engine and no bolt ons BTW)
- Door seals were all falling off
- 3 sun roofs changed out due to leaking
- Two door windows changed because something was scratching it from the inside

And on top of this he could only get 400kms or 250miles on the highway per tank

i have already had two spec v's. i love them. i have been through the the precat b.s., and its a non issue with a header and midpipe.
neither of mine had door seal problems, or sunroof problems. never had anything scratch my windows. sounds like your friend got a wrecked car that was fucked back together.
and gas mileage, i have gotten over 300 miles to the tank a few times. and its a small tank. its a 13.2 gal. and the gauge hits the "e" with a gallon left. i brought it back from pennsylvania when i bought it and consistently back to alabama averaged between 27 and 31 mpg. which was right on par with the spec v i drove up there in to go get the other.
i know the qr through and through. all of its short comings and all its plusses. the car is fairly light, slightly gutted weighed 2480 with me in it. exhaust and intake it ran 14.1's all day at 98-99, cutting a 1.9 and 2.0 60'.
on boost a qr makes great power. even though 8 psi is all you can safely run on stock internals. a stock motor can make 300hp no problem. which with a good driver will run high 12's. on slicks.
exterior looks good, and the interior is fantastic. a qr sounds good too. [quote=TorganFM ]

downgrade from what? the 92 teg i am currently driving? the one that is totaled? with three broke wheels, leaking sunroof and hatch. has a broke motor mount. and the squeaks of a very hard 140,000 miles.

i am very familiar with the vq swap into the b15 chassis. but if i do it, which is more of a when, i am going with a vq30. shorter stroke more rev happy, and lots more aftermarket support for alot higher boost. and its a still a vq so i can still use my tranny with a bellhousing from a junkyard.

Welcome to the show, man. Ur gonna catch some hell, but it's all in fun. This coming May will make 2 years of owning my 05, and I feel like my car has treated me fairly well, considering some of the hell I've put it through, and it's been boosted since this past August. It hasn't been perfect, but it has been AT LEAST as good a car as the 2 Honda's I have owned. Anyways, you might wanna get some porn up, and I FOR ONE would like to see some pics of the car. AND STOP HATIN' ON THE SPEC BITCHES!! O0

i like all b15 spec's. i just prefer the 02-03 front end so much better. i do like the taillights of the 04+. thats definatley on the mod list. along with header, full exhaust, intake, cams, balance shaft delete, brakes, and wheels. then finish the turbo ----. i still have to re-acquire a safc and an i/c.

If you think the Integra squeaks wait until you have the Sentra for a while. Integra to Sentra is a downgrade no matter how you slice it.

if you didnt read, i have owned a spec v before, in fact 2 of them. mild suspension on mine(the other was the wifes), and it was well used, never had a squeak or rattle during normal driving.

Why waste your money on that N/A ---- if you're just gonna boost anyways. Neither the nismo or JWT cams are very good for turbo applications by the way, too much overlap...You'll have enough money in all tha stuff you listed, you could have just gone ahead and boosted the car. Your ----, but it's just a thought. :-\

nah, i go cheap. the first time around i went ebay on everything, and didnt have a problem with quality on anything. i did break the header once, at the primaries, due to wheelhop and motor jerking around. and i wasnt running a flex pipe. cams will be a maybe, depends on if i get another car so i can have this one down for the turbo ----.

the dude that pioneered the vq35 swap was rumored to be swapping a vk56 in a b15. thats evil stock. boost that sob and have torque steer problems in triple digits.
