Thanks guys, and yes I meant TSI not STI:P

So you guy swould reccomend the RB swap over the SR swap... Now are the 20, 25, and 26 (RB's) basically the same swap; like a B-series into a Honda...

Does anybody know what a shope might charge for this swap, or are they as straight forward as a Honda swap?

Thanks guys...

SR20 redtop: 202 hp, 188 Tq
SR20 Blacktop: 217 hp, 202 Tq $3200
Rb20det: 220 hp, 194 Tq $2200
Rb25det: 250 hp, 220 Tq
Rb26dett: 276 hp, 270 Tq

There you go, prices are front clip, shipping not included.

you gotta remember that the 6 cylinder is alot more work to get it to work correctly. Also to upgrade a rb20 is alot more money than the SR20. The SR20 can handle 450hp while the RB can handle 550. I would go for the SR20. Its more reasonable

yeah that and a lot of stuff that you could potentially need for an sr20 is readily available in the states ( thanks to the sentra ser and the 200sx ser)..... the RB motors are a dif story there.. i have a bud doing a rb20 swap on his car.. hes probably got $10000 in the car ( granted it has a cusco cage and all kinda of retardedly expensive ---- in it) and its not running yet...

i vote SR20... or... ca18det <-- iron block

I picked up a '92 AWD TSi with 89k for $500(broken timing belt), got $400 in a new cylinder head, $500 in a engine rebuild kit, and gonna spend $850 on a Shep racing(he runs 8.80's in the 1/4 in the SAME type of car)transmission. That(with the stock turbo) should put me in the low 13's or high 12's. I doubt you could do a SR20 240 that performed as well for that kind of cash(comes to about $2500).
