Your best bet is to get a cheap LCD.. $120-150 and a Fresnel lens and make a projector. I would do this over an older projector because iirc older projector refresh rates are slow and they result in motion blur, which is bad for gaming. For movies it isn't so bad because they're like 24fps anyway.

This one's 325 shipped and comes with two 5,000 hour bulbs. Might try that one out, iv been looking for something for awhile but never really liked the idea of those expensive *** bulbs.

640X480 is a 90s laptop, which is greater than television resolution 320X240.

The last thread on this turned up a pretty good price on a warrantied factory refurb 720P unit. All the video heads gave it two thumbs up.
