i shouldnt have been charged with a dui i had a bac of .033 and the legal limit is .08 but since i was a minor at the time and wasnt able to afford a lawyer i was charged as a minor driving under the influence. i agree with you though driving drunk is the stupidest thing a person could do

I paid the original ticket + court costs ($175), then proceeded to play four assistant DA's off against each other to get the FTAs dropped so I could get my license back. With my license back I was able to get the DLRs dropped, because I was in compliance. The inspection sticker + emissions tickets I bullshitted about, "I got the car inspected, but I lost the piece of paper... can I just take a picture of the sticker on the car, or wait, I can get another it's only $10...," so they dropped those sight unseen. That left the 108 in a 55, which occurred during a period in time I didn't have a license, which would have gotten me good and fucked. I asked for a PJC, prayer for judgement continued, and got it.

So, $175 on the original ticket, no license for 2.5 months, eight or nine trips to the courthouse, and three trips to the DMV. Sucked, but turned out better than I thought it would.

I developed an ulcer when I kinda sorta realized how completely screwed I'd gotten myself.

You start doing jailtime for no license, and they start not wanting to let you have your license back for years, or at least that's how it is around here. Best wished to the tweeker, might want to look into one of those international driver's licenses, I know the DUI guys were running that scam for a while. Also, not every state DMV communicates properly with the other, so you might get an out of state license if you have friends who'll let you declare their address as yours.

Racintweek doesn't need to worry about any of that. His license is fine, it was only suspended for 1 day and the courts never even sent any of the info to DMV.

**30 min or so and he should be out
