T28 vs 16g
Just curious if anyone has had any experience with either of these. What do you guys have to say, I've read about both but anyways wanting to hear info first hand.
Also, I am unable to locate the compressor maps for both, I suck at searching. |
Re:T28 vs 16g
Both about the same size, the T28 "killer turbo" is bigger than most 16G's. But the Evo ported 16G is bigger than all T28's. I have ridden in 2G eclipses with both of these (two of my friends). The T28 actually seemed to pull more, but the T28 is in a FWD and the 16G is in an AWD so that could be the difference. Both spool relatively quick, I think it feels like the 16G spools a bit faster. Those are my thoughts and opinions.

Re:T28 vs 16g
you know where to pick up a decent T28 for not too expensive? I'd like to replace my T25 with one.

Re:T28 vs 16g
I loved my 16G (no experience w/ T28)... If you have a single cam or a zc, you will be more than pleased with the 16g... plus they are more common than the t28... go to a japanes engine importer... i bought mines for $125 (hook up though)... Expect to pay around $200 or $300-400 on ebay for a rebuilt one...

Re:T28 vs 16g
You put a 16g on a ZC!!! That thing better have been built, a 16g is a bit larger than a super 60!! Hell an RHB5 IHI would work on a ZC
Anyway, thanks for nfo guys. Usedtoberacer, if you could hook someone up with a cheap 16g... ;D |
