thats funny you have full 3" exhaust untill the axle then its 2.5. might as well have 3"all the way back or unhook it from the axle lol. ya fix the leak, do you not have a gasket?

The turbo is a T3/T4 super 60 an older version of thishttp://cheapturbo.stores.yahoo.net/gat3w82ar.html. and that leak is killing me I might as well be only running 5 psi. and this was after like 20 pulls so the it was completely heat soaked, and over 90* on the dyno. I think it is very capable of 275+ but that when ---- starts breaking on these h22's it is a very conservitive tune for a daily driver.

I helped a lot on this project and was there helping when I was being tuned.

Like Leo said it would hit 7 psi and DROP to 5ish because of the huge leak. It would drop fast too, so it would hit initial fullboost and the drop back down by 500-1000RPM's so hes loosing a lot. And its a very safe tune at 12.0 accross(thanks to Scotty), on a very hot and humid day on a heat soaked engine.

There is a lot left in it, just a few bugs to work out. Car pulls pretty hard and there are a couple exhaust leaks to fix.

I'd say thats pretty good for only 5lbs of boost, and whoever said 220hp with intake and exhaust on a stock h22 that was from those tards who read adds for parts and add the power up to what the ad says. Ex: aem intake up to 7hp, cat back exhaust up to 13hp holy ---- now I have 220whp :1

get those gaskets on there and fix the leaks and you're good for another 20-30whp easy.

for those that say their car at 9-10lbs of boost was 50whp or so higher...IT'S FALLING TO 5 POUNDS JUST AFTER VTEC! the power it's making is normal for that dyno, on these temps, with his setup.

stock, this engine would be around 170ish whp and at 5 psi anywhere between 205whp and 230whp would be normal considering a 7-12whp/ib of boost depending on the turbo used.

overall a nice setup...just a few bugs to work out. i tried to compensate for the leaks by adjusting the hell out of the boost controller, but to no avail.

i also have to give a big thanks to leo and max for being understanding on me having to cancel the last appointment due to my having one hell of a kidney stone knocking me on my a$$ last thurs.

I said 200 not 220whp do some research, a DOHC Vtec H22 is capable of 200hp N/A, add a cold air intake, exhaust header and full exhaust.........hmmm.......take an older n/a h22 throw in some larger injectors, intake, exhaust (as noted above) and a safc vtec controller, you'll get 200hp out of it easy.

"The engine, which I initially branded as "too small" (although I am a big Honda fan), proved itself to me as soon as I left the dealer's lot. The 2.2 liter DOHC VTEC 200-hp engine doesn't just rev up- it SLIDES up to a 7400rpm redline. Never have I driven such a smooth engine, and I fell in love immediately. Allegedly, the 0-60 time is 6.7 seconds, although it feels much quicker than that."

Nice setup. And great post with the pics and vid.

I know someone with an EVO IX and a Boosted F22A that you can race for $200.

you're talking 200hp at the flywheel...take out drivetrain losses and you get in the area of 170ish whp stock. ihe and you're lucky to be in the 180ish whp area unless you're taking the bs the manufacturers feed you as gains and add all them together and get your theoretical 200whp.

here are 2 graphs of jdm h22 n/a:

run 20 is i/h/e, intake manifold, cams and gears.
run 77 is i/h/e, intake manifold, cams, gears, headwork, etc. the manifold is a prototype that we were testing. this car does very well at the track.

that information is useful for sure......just curious does it have larger injectors or an engine management sys? if not, wouldn't that help with power gains? also if you have a better clutch that would reduce the loss of power to the wheels as would a LSD....right?

What are you talking about? You dont need bigger injectors unless your getting close the maxing them out....
