has anyone pulled the turbo off of a t-bird? julio and I were at the yard today and we couldn't get that thing off there's no way we were going to get the flange bolts off the turbo, so I took off all the manifold bolts. the dp was a bitch, where should I disconnect that one? also, anybody know what size the oil/water line hexs are?

I had the same problem,Same car.See if the yard owner will cut it out with a torch.Thats what I had to do,He charged me $10.Otherwise go find someone with a cordless sawzall and go at it.Or just go buy one,They come in handy, especialy if you go to the jyard alot.

Re:t-bird, you piece of ----
i have done a couple thunderturds.
got lucky on one, turbo must have been off before and some lazy ---- didnt put the bolts in the braket on the block... so i removed all the exhaust manifold bolts (well studs, cuz the nuts pulled most of them out) had to move the PS or AC out the way of one of the bolts i think. the JY i go to cuts the cats out so the downpipe isnt too long just snaked it out attatched. then removed all the ---- i didnt need when it was out of the car (then i can use my 2ft breaker bar ) like the DP, manifold, O2 sensor (***** always try to charge me for them)...
the other one was kinda a bitch, but i had learned from the first one. i had to remove the starter to get to the lower mount bolts then it was pretty much the same as the first...
its about like taking the turbo off a volvo...
