my d15 has only 30k original miles on it and has just gotten a new head gasket,and while it was apart a new water pump and timing belt, as well as new dist cap and rotor, and upgraded plugs and wires,....should i boost her or swap in a b16......sorry ahead of time if this is the wrong thread, i wasnt sure where to put it

i guess what im asking is, where can i get the most hp out of...do to money situation the b16 would not be boosted

Ummm swap in the b16 and gimme that 1.5! I'd say just boost the 1.5. Boost that ---- and if it blows then put the b16 in.

not by much...---- it might be slower than a gsr hatch. but yeah the rush of your first turbo kit is amazing, and it only gets better.

it's gonna be faster, but a stock b16 isn't fast. you could boost the d15 and when you want to swap in the b16
all you're gonna need is maybe a bigger turbo if you wanna boost the b16. but a b16 w/11psi ownzs

The guys never done a turbo kit, he's gonna think his car is a space shuttle. All first turbo kits feel that way. Your 251 horsepower wasn't fast either. :P

Very true... I'm going to ride in a "very fast" car Friday !!! Benz E-55 469hp 516 torque !! I already rode in the CL55 493hp, but the E55 is lighter !! We took the CL to 140mph !!! Its sweet... Wish my freind's dealership had a CL65 !!! 590hp, 738 torque !!!

But still... 250whp is a 2200LBS car isn't too bad !! all turbo honda civics kick ass from a roll !!

---- i dont know about you guys but my D16a6 Turbo CRX @ 10psi with a T3, has taken out some b-series turbo's!! i've raced a B18b integra with T3/T4 @ 7psi... beat 'em good!! and then not too long ago i raced a B18c1 integra T3/T4 @ 7psi on the roll and he couldnt get pass my back bumper!
D-SERIES BABY!!!!!!! Dont doubt the mighty single cam, it has potential...maybe not as much as a b-series ofcourse. but when you are right there with em and you got a single cam...who do you think gets more props?!? 8)

My old D15 at 10-14psi on a .42/.48 in an EG coupe was faster than my D16 at 15psi on a .48/.60 in a half gutted EF hatch. :-\

your false, the b gets more praise for being faster, more potential.. you get d praise for making a slow motor fast, and also for it being hmt.. otherwise d series is pointless... i found that out the hard way. built d

Eh, I agree to a point. It's not pointless, but most of the cars we buy came with the mighty D so it's much more practical to boost what we have. Yes, the B has more potential, but most of us aren't looking to break out of the 300whp range. :-\

The D15 had a bit more work done to it, but the D16 does have some gay ass low compression with the Z6 block/A6 head. :-\

Hmmmm....I'm thinking around 8.5:1? I forget and I don't want to look it up. The compression tester says -135- across. :o

Runs ------- awesome at 15psi though. :)

i think your closer to 7:1, the starion was 7:1 and is putting 130 psi
