susuki sv650s anybody got exp with this one?

so im looking for a place to get financed cuz the in house financing shut me down. but its for an 02 sv650s with like 9000 miles. little over 3000 for it. has anybody ever rode one? not a big fan of the look but a crotch rocket is kinda out of the question right now. also anybody know where to get bad credit financing? i would really like to pick it up soon before someone else does. and if i cant im just gunna break down and try to settle my credit card debt and go for a newer cbr600 in a couple of months.

If you can't get a vehicle loan for 3k you must have the shittiest credit ever and if you don't have 3 grand maybe you should think about getting your ---- in order instead of buying a motorcycle. But if yo want a loan that bad go to the ghetto, there will be a place there that will give you a loan and you can see where you will live someday because you would rather buy a motorcycle than pay off people you owe money

Re: susuki sv650s anybody got exp with this one?

actually its probably harder to get a small loan than a large one. seems that way anyways

sv650 is a good bike for cruising i suppose. pretty slow. but comfortable

i dont know. im kinda glad i didnt get it cuz i think im going to just catch up my two credit cards. i only owe like 1200 combined and thats it. no other bills really. im only 21 and i didnt try it with a cosigner but i already know the answer if i go to my parents. hell no from mom and dad has wose credit than osama so thats a no go too. it should only take 3 or 4 months to get the credit cards done with and then ill go look at something newer that ill really like. till then i guess its the rebel 250 for me.

I'm trying to get ahold of a guy selling an sv650 thats kind of started on the street fighter look I love the way they look personally. I've never ridden one but from the specs they can't be that slow I think they're rated at 70hp and somewhere around 400lbs. I've also heard they handle like crazy, you may want to reconsider based on your credit though.

Re: susuki sv650s anybody got exp with this one?

I have one. I have a 00 SV650-N. Great for riding sub 65mph. Serious highway miles, look for something else or at least invest in a windshield. I'm still learning how to ride and I haven't ridden anything else really so I cant truly comment on how well it handles, but I really don't have anything bad to say about the handling either. Fuel economy is way lower than I thought it would be. i get like 43mpg. I was expecting more like 50mpg. There are claims on the sv650 boards that its because of after market exhausts(which I have as it came with the bike). I'm going to look into things more seriously when the weather turns cold. Right now I just want to ride it and not worry.

yeah this one has a yoshimura slip on. also i make 2078.96 a month and work for the state of texas so i dont think income is a problem. after taxes i take home just under 1600 a month and the only real bills i pay is my phone bill like 250 a month and my insurance on my car is like 75 a month. and the occasional utility bill. i honestly waste most my money on stupid ---- like cigarettes and beer and food. if i could cut back on the food i could save a couple bucks and maybe pay my credit cards lol.

there pretty guttless...good bike to start out on cause there fast enough that you wont "out grow it" but slow enough that you wont kill yourself on it....i've rode my buddies a couple times, they wont really satisfy you if your looking for something fast, but they are still a blast to cruz around on

Re: susuki sv650s anybody got exp with this one?

They don't have enough HP to be considered fast, but they have more than enough power to get moving around. The response between a SV650 and an even remotely quick car is not even close. I don't know how anyone could consider making about 35 ftlbs from 2000rpm to 9000rpm gutless. Especially out of a Vtwin 650cc engine that is in a less than 400lbs bike.

the m50's are'nt a bad bike, last year they marked down the 05's to like $5700 at the local suzuki dealer so you may want to hold out a little longer. The engine I beleive is based off of the intruder vs800 but the vs800 is faster due to higher compression the vs800 is now the s50. I ride a vs800 my only major complaint is it needs a 6th gear

I wouldn't settle for a rebel just yet. You can find SVs really cheap. Look around on ebay for a slightly wrecked one. My brother has two. Got one for 1200 that was lightly laid down..running great. This is a 2001. Got another for 200$ with a seized engine. A lot of engines for sale fairly cheap.

They don't have the top speed of the inline bikes but they have really good torque which makes them about more fun than inline 600s. They'll power wheelie in 1st.

Another option may be a dual sport. They sell pretty cheap too and are fun to ride. Anything but the rebel. Ninja 250 even...they're fun in the turns since they're so light.

Is this your first streetbike? Good to see that you're not just going for a supersport right away.

when you've rode a bunch of different bikes, its pretty easy to call the sv 650 gutless....its nothing compared to a bike in the 600cc class, even including my old cbr 600f2...the sv650 is a detuned sportsbike and thats another reason why its gutless. I rode with my buddy in his old 2001 camaro ss (which pulled a best of 13.8 in the quarter) as he pulled away from one of our friends on his sv650 during a free way pull. I'm not knockin the sv 650, their a good bike, but when you compare them to other bikes in the 600cc class they are gutless
