Road race slicks are not good for drag racing. They (Goodyear/Hoosier) are made to work at 160-175 F tire temps. Your lucky to get 135-140 on drag slicks, but that is where their compound is made to work.

What PSI were you running?? Road race slicks have super stiff sidewalls made for cornering, not drag racing.

PS no need for the fancy spring/shock combo, stock shocks (200k miles!) and Eibach prokit springs, Ingalls rear upper links (secret for less squat!) are plenty enough to plant the power for a 13.09 5g HB on 85 shot..........detuned to 60 shot........

if running a stock open diff, .50 in washers from Home Depot will tune and Honda if it is using a front sway bar.

Slight bit of camber built into the front...-.5" or so.

As much caster as you can dial in (traction bars are pimp for this).

And toe in maybe an 1/8" on each side to keep you straight at faster speeds.

Get an alignment...works wonders I tell ya!

Jack the back of the car up, grab a stack of 5 or 6 hockey pucks with the centers cut out and a notch, slide them on the rear struts on race days and have fun.
