Im putting my suspension system on my car this spring. I was wondering if you guys could post what suspension tires shocks springs you are using and what the ride quality and handling are like. I want to get some good info b4 i buy something. I already have 16" motegi Mr7s no tires yet ... i was thinking 205/40R16's for them..

thanks

ive had cut springs, eibach pro-kit (great ride), air cylinders, and my friends have all used coilovers, which ride shitty but handle decent; next i plan on getting neuspeed coils (a friend has them and loves them).....as for tires, i have used pirelli p7000, falken, nankang, kumho, all with good results

---- coilovers, thats the worst thing ever invented, unless you spend big bucks and get some tiens, dont get no low budget coilovers. get some good springs, adj shocks, strut bars and sway bars and you wont regret ----.i used to have some ground control and that was wack. now im riding on some eibach sportlines, kyb agx shocks, strut bars front anb back and its a great ride. i just adjust them for racing or high speed driving.205/40 is a good size but if you can get some 215/55 your car wuold stick to the ground like a go cart! just my 2cents

i always thought the stiff sidewall of a lower-profile tire would help handling

55 is still small. i dont like those 40 series tires, if you hit a bump hard your gona end up banging up your rims and maybe even cutting the tirer.50 or 55 is good enough.they do help in handling i lil bit more but i dont think their practical if your gona be driving fast on the street.

never had a problem with 40 series....i did destroy a rim with 35 series on it once, but that was in a construction zone at 70mph

I have coilovers, with stock shocks they sucked big time, Now I have KYB AGX adjustable shocks, but they still suck ass, I have friends with both Eibach and Neuspeed springs happy with their performance.
Tires, well I have 17's with 40 tires and have already busted a couple of tires but both times I fell in big ass holes about 10 inches deep , but full of water, everytime the tire rips on the side wall.
Other than that I really like the 40 profiles on bigger rims, 16 and up, 55, 60 is good for smaller rimsm

Neuspeed & H&R springs are pretty decent for 4g crx/civics.. handle nicely
