Default Surface this head?

Hey all,

Need some expert opinion on this. I am working on a budget y8 mini-me project (a6 block and this y8 head). Here is how I got the head from tha cat on ebay. It has some scoring near the combustion chambers, and a few places with bad scoring near a water jacket, and a water port... I do not really want to pay to have this head torn down, and surfaced, so I am looking for acceptable risk. Give me something i can work with. Like with the dmg you see, and your experience you say 50% chance that the gasket does'nt seal, or you had one that was worse in similar spots and your car runs strong 99% chance of failure..

Something like that, Just need to know what the pro's think. I am using ARP head studs on the build, and plan to boost in the future..

THanks for any input in advance...

Here we go.

Near the Combustion chamber

Again, near a different ring land:

Water Jacket (The worst of the scratching/scraping)

resurfacing for around $25-35 is worth it when you don't see alot of white smoke coming from your exhaust.

I found a place that will Hot tank it, and surface it with the valves still in it. So I am gonna take off the cam, and pay the 55 bucks to get it done...

Fair deal to me, what I was really worried about was having to disassemble the whole head, and buy new valve seals, and spring seats... And then put it back together (I dont have a spring compressor etc/etc/etc....

Thanks for the advice on the green pad, I need to pick up an air compressor I will hook that up when I do.
