Found out today, I will be assigned to 1st Marine Air Wing in Okinawa, Japan. 8)

When exactly I will go, is not sure yet, but probably June sometime. I will know when I go Monday probably.

But everything is offical, I will be going.

i probably wont reply to this much tonite, because i am going out to eat to celebrate. ;D

My grandfather was their for a while, the only difference was he had a flamethrower and it was in 1944-46 ;)

You serious? He was on Okinawa? That would be funny if they knew each other. He was originally their to secure the island than he was on stand-by for the invasion of Japan. The lucky bastard was going to be in the second wave of the invasion, it was a 99.9% fatiality rate for the first 3 waves. :-\

I think two of my great uncle's were stationed in Japan during that time.

I was in okinawa for 3 years when my father was in the navy. very beautiful place you'll like it their frank ;)

my cousin is in the marines and is stationed there, hes been there for about a year and a half now, good luck man

I have a friend there, who just bought a ITR swap for $300 smackers, then found out it was mugen chipped, once he got it all home.

Ohh yeah, thats a JDM swap.

one more thing, ball bearing turbos over there are about $75. trance wont be getting one. ;)
