Suggestions on 02 GS Eclipse
So im 16, juss got an 02 Eclipse.. 31 thousand miles on it.. fully loaded.. lookin to fix it up. First thing im doing is the exhaust :-P system, anyone got any idea's or suggestions on this? or anything else that i should do to this car?
this isnt a v6, its a 4cylinder for info ~Victim |

Exhaust systems are better than exhause systems. Trust me.

What he said. BE sure to run a 3 inch DP and ---- exhaust systems. I drive witrh mine disconnected for a few days without realizing it. :1

well i am putting a turbo / intercooler kit in it... im juss wonderin if you guys would be any help to me.. havent really gotten any.. positive answers yet o.O

www.tubgirl.com They have some good tips on eclipse exhausts there, I got my TB setup there. Sorry for the other assholes.

what kinda turbo would you guys reccommend, how much would it cost (approx.) if possible and how much of a boost would it give? if you can answer that or have any idea id greatly appreciate it :)

Is it a 4g64? If so, then maybe you can do something. If its the 3.0 v6, vortec makes a nice kit.

i owned the gts and the best thing i did to it was get rid of it, the motors can not hold a large amount of boost. trade it for another car

I know of one guy running 15psi on stock 4g64, that's with AEM EMS.

Well yeah i heard that the 4cylinders in eclipse's can take up to 400whp... but i also read an article in Dsport magazine talking about a guy with an s2000, 4cylinder runnin about the same engine and he brought it up to 400whp, he got bored so he honed the cylinders to accept 9.2 to 1 pistons. added a f22c1 crankshaft and with 91 octane pump gas, was runnin 450whp and with racing c16 gas, ran 528 hp. this made me re-think about an engine swap. but i am still considering the idea.

find a way to swap the 4G63 in there, I know my girlfriends galant that is also a 4G64, a 4G63 will bolt right in
