suggestion for forum?
 

not sure if this is going to sound so obvious and dumb but wouldnt it be possible to re-route the search button
to a self written html form which will use google search to search through forum? it can easily be made, or was it
disabled on purpose?

why?

it is very easy to write the code for it? and plus itll make alot more questions easier to answer (just say use the search funtion :P ), and ontop of that google search will be alot more powerful then most forum searches out there

I really like the google way of searching better. When the search button did work, I hated the way it displayed results.

You sometimes get better results if you type in the www. before homemadeturbo.com

I've had different results a few times when using both.

its the php script thats fucked up, thats on the form, this ---- isn't javascript, the webpage is a direct output of the search php script. Think of it as an application that you're running on the server.

yeah fair enough, u can use the php script to send the input parrams to google and redirect (or even open a new window) the user to the resulting page..

He's right, if the search function on here was just redirected to google, we'd never have to deal with noobs STILL asking the question "why doesn't the search button work?" EVEN though theres a sticky about.

its upto mods bcuz it looks like i upset the sensitive blokes here with this suggest *go cry*

if your unable to program the script to make the search function work (which I have done here out of boredom its 5 minutes of code)... then as mensioned if you have time redirect it to google orr even redirect it to google using the pre fill function add site:www.homemadeturbo.com/forum so the lazy people just have to type in their query.

anyway on a seprerate note MY TURBO IS NEARLY UP!

the best than that to make 2 links (icons) one called upload photo and be linked to any site which load imges such as imgeshake
