When I was in a sneior in HS and after I graduated, i had them ******* callin me 24/7. they call alot of the athletes in HS. Im like dude no, im not joining, and hed just call back the next day, "so any thought about what youre doing in the future?" "Yea, im in college and working full time", he'd call back a few weeks later

Not trying to start a fire or anything, but You all say that stuff and then wonder why they keep talking about another draft. The military life is not bad at all. It is what you make of it. I live in Rhode island in a 3 bedroom 1300 square foot house. and make 36000 a year, free medical, Dental, Tuition assistance, I can go on and on. I mean Yeah you might have to go to Kuait, afganistan, etc. But I look at it this way.....I will be 39 when I retire. then i can get another job, retire again and then at 59.5 years old collect 2 retirement checks and my Roth ira. So yeah It looks pretty good to me. BTW I am a Navy corpsman.

And in trade for all of this, you are a numbered "tool" of the government. The fact is, when you retire you will HAVE TO get another job, cause you'll be poor trying to live off of what they give you.
If it's for you, it's for you, but the flowers aren't as nice once you get there.

I didn't just register to promote my job. If I wanted to do that I would be a recruiter. I actually use this site as a refrence and if I have a question about car stuff, believe it or not I will ask. But hey I can't help it that I had a OPINION on this subject, and It also happened to be my First post. You have to start somewhere. But I am sure that you just started at post 300 right? So excuse the ---- out of me for this being my first thread that I post on.

I realize this, But hey someone has to do it. I will say it is not for everyone. I didn't think it was for me but I still tried and now I like it. And at age 39 why not get another job delivering mail or something. I do appreciate your input though.
