i had a similar problem like 1 1/2 years ago, i found out the stupid cat went nuts for sliced turkey so i got my dogs kennel, opened my front door and put a SMALL trial of turkey leading to a big pile of turkey inside the kennel...ater about 1 hour he finally came around and sure enough he went into the kennel, BUT make sure to wait about 1/2 min so it starts to relax a little and sit down to eat 
THEN slam that ------- cage shut!! but its not as easy as it sounds..
just make sure you put a SMALL amout of food leading to the cage becuase either it will get full or grab a few and run away, that will pretty much ruin your chance for that day.

see you just need me to come over there and get the cat for you. all cats love me, because they can tell that i'm a cat person and that i love little kitty cats

My smallest gun is a 9mm. I think that'll do the trick. ---- cats. I used to feed cats to my pit.
