hummm...I dont know if I buy this....

its bacially a D17 Crank/Rods/Pistons...in a D16. No need to bore or mill or anything just put it in and your stroked? --nice wording...I would like someone to brake this down 'barney style'. Any one have anything else.

yes.. the d17 crank has longer throws. the rods are the same length as d16a6/z6/y8. but the d17 pistons are shorter (so u dont go through the head with the pistons at TDC) The d17 block is the same height as d16.

read that thread. he already did it and it's running.

That got me thinking...The Old one destroked his D16 to 1.5 liter for a better R/S ratio 1.70 ..
Over here we have D13 and D14's running around...Maybe their have shorter stroke crank's.....but I think they won't fit like the D15's

the d17 rods are a little thinner than the d16 rods, and need to be machined. like putting ls rods on a d16 crank. other than that, its pretty straight foward.

i have been tossing the d17 turbo idea around for a while now.

use d17 crank w/ d17 rods w/ d17 pistons.. no machining needed.

Theres a junkyard around here, its the kind where the old guy sits in his chair under the tree and says yea the cars are over there, go find it. He has 2 older tegs with D17 (usZC) one had 14X,XXX and the other like 80XXX miles. He wants $200 for each, and that price usally changes every time I go. Im gonna have to go get them I think...
No turbos though. Someone already got em all...
DAM IT!
