Street racing in my area

I can't believe it but my high 12's don't even phaze people anymore! There is always the unsuspecting ricer or even a Camaro or mustang to mess with but the major players are way to fast for me to compete. What has happend? Everyone is so fast now. :'( I have always wanted to have a street driven car(that runs like a nornmal car) that does 11's or low 12's. I guess I am gonna have to turbo a V8. Time to step up.

recent meet

http://www.ludehawk.com/dolby/9-11-04/ some rice some nice

Is anyone else experiencing the same thing? I know don't street race. ::)

At the races in Ontario, its ------- cavaliers, civics, integras and the odd n/a supra or mustang

My car with a sohc zc i/h/e pg7 and a 75 shot was in the top 5 in my town

Only 1 person I knew of with a b series swap, he was almighty in my area lol

Still 100% rice in Canada

Re:Street racing in my area

wow, i've heard stories of mid-high 13 second cars owning the street races here. I was like wtf? a high 13 second car can't be beat... that's weak.

That's all from word of mouth, I don't go to the street races no more, the last time I went there was an Altima that had a full load, racing an eclipse or mustang, and about 2/3 the way down the Altima smashed into a innocent S10/Blazer that was just trying to cross the street. It was pretty bad, both cars were ate to ----. Yup that was the last time I went to the street races.

The last time I was at a street race was when a Nissan Sentra SE-R swerved to avoid a T bone accident and drove over a median and hit a street sign doing 80mph. I won't participate, just spectate :) Anyone know of anymore street races that occur in the MA. area?

I see a bunch of ricers in my area

Re:Street racing in my area

most street races are bogus. If someone is towing their car to a street race that is sad, just go to the track. I only race my friends on back roads, way safer, and more fun. One drives a pumped up SC300 and the other an Impala SS. Way more fun to race them rather than some broke down ford probe with neons on it.

This was a Dayton/Cinci/Columbus meet in Ohio.

There was 600 cars at this meet we got kicked out of the parking lot for good, whatever, it was geting out of hand with all of the donuts(both kinds attract cops) in the parking lot and stuff. There are lots of other cars and obiviously some of them were taken because they were funny.

Cobra's, vettes, evo's, rx7's, all in the low 11's some in the 10's and nothing comes in on a trailor. People do some stupid stuff but most of the runs are done on the highway from a roll.

I know it takes forever to download but there is a lot ov video. It's too much to ask to know how to build cars and take video. ::)

What is the purpose of racing on the freeway. You can't find a road somewhere that you can race.

---- codecs, ---- you guys and your shitty quailty videos id rather beable to hear what the car sounds like and acutally see the race then a bunch of ------ distortion. Get faster cable im downloading at 250+k/sec(and i have 150K/sec) on these videos 4 mins to wait for a decent quaitly video if it bothers you that much don't download it... ::)

wow your ignorant, i would rather have the same quality video in 2 minutes then 4 using a divx codec.... and 250k? your cable is pretty below par

InfernoSoul 09-22-2004 01:20 PM

Re:Street racing in my area

You don't get the same quailty video/sound using codecs your the ignorant one. MPEG Layers are way higher quailty then Divx, DVD's use a type of MPEG Layer and nothing compares to DVD's. Divx does not compare i don't care what the ---- you say. How is my cable pretty below par? The fast cable out there is 300k/sec, which you probably can get spikes up to 400-500k/sec. The only things faster are T1/T3 lines which i highly doubt you have.... Know your facts before you speak.

kain 09-22-2004 01:29 PM

Re:Street racing in my area

heh it spikes that high? mine spikes at around 3bps sometimes on a good day, and it idles at around 300 to 500.

Re:Street racing in my area

yes it is true that the quality would be slightly less, but i doubt the average persone watchin the video would beable to tell the diff, and yes your cable is slow. around here we get cox cable service and it averages 750k/s during the day and 850k/s in the non busy hours of the day

InfernoSoul 09-22-2004 01:36 PM

Re:Street racing in my area

Slightly less, whatever man.....Anyone with a brain can tell the difference. So your paying $150 bucks a month for that, while im paying 25 bucks a month for my 250K+/sec. You must be a rich boy or your at a company/work.

87na_rx7 09-22-2004 01:41 PM

Re:Street racing in my area

standars 5mb everyone gets for 35 bucks a month, 30 if you have their cable

InfernoSoul 09-22-2004 01:41 PM

Re:Street racing in my area

Oh and another thing if you get 750-800K/sec downloads why are even bitching about a 100mb file that would take you 20-30 seconds to download is that too long of a wait for you.

87na_rx7 09-22-2004 01:45 PM
