Re: Store closings

Meh, I don't know if I beleive alot of that crap. People keep saying such and such store is closing down, but it never happens. I can't see all Movie Gallery stores closing. We have one here that gets quite a bit of business being the only major movie store in the area. I can't see a profitable business closing down. Sprint stores are all independently owned and operated so any dumbass could run one of those into the ground.

One bar shut down out here and everybody started ------ing rumors about 10-15 other stores that are closing, but it hasn't happened yet. :1 I think a total of like 3 stores have shut down out here, but they were destined for failure even before the shitty economy. The economy just helped them shut down faster.

Re: Store closings

I don't know Justin about Movie Gallery cause we make all their label that go on their dvd's and case. We haven't seen an order for them come through in months as they were a pretty big customer of ours. Hell we did so much of their ---- I hated it. Now I don't remember the last time I saw an order of their go out. Working in shipping and receiving I see what goes out. Now Sears Roebuck & Co, man we get loads of their ---- going out everyday I wish they would be on that list. So Movie Gallery I can believe. Come to think of it, we used to have Hollywood Video also as a customer as they were basically the same job, just different print but on the same label. Now they closed everything around me. Not sure if their just a local video store or not.

if people would have listened, this was predicted a long time ago by peter schiff (just happens to be Ron pauls economic advisor, er was) anyway heres an example of how the ------- idiots on so called financial news programs don't know ----, and peter schiff does:

Neal Cavuto still thinks we aren't in a recession because of high Iphone/blackberry sales., lol.

also look at those companies portfolio's, most of them were specialized and had a narrow customer base, and obviously lowes/home depot are tied to the housing industry, companies that will do ok have strong sales in other countries and a diverse product lineup, I have never heard of half of those stores in that list.

its a vicious cycle. the more people without jobs, the less jobs there will be and the lest spending there will be, and then everything else will just collaps. like i said.

It's a period of trimming the fat...

Now if we could do the same with about 1/3 of the human race, then we'd be all set.

We haven't had a order from them in awhile either. I probably say their coming up soon. Those damn dvd vending machines that rent dvd's for a dollar are pretty busy by me. It reminds me of Japan were you can get anything in a vending machine. The local mall by me is most likely filing for chapter 11 as they're behind 1 billion bones and next year they'll be at 3 billion. Half of those stores on that list we have in there so most of those places ring a bell. All are worthless in my book.

Re: Store closings

Movie gallery is def closing all the store about 6 months ago they shut down the one by my old job. That place did mad bizz but they also own Hollywood video so thats that. Piercing pagoda is one those little huts in the mall where you can buy some earings and get your ears pierced with one those shitty ass piercing guns.

Oil, brakes and coffee cake... what does it sound like they sell? j/k lol... I believe the sell earings (and other jewelry) and offer free piercings with purchase. These are typically found in kiosks in the malls. no need for them
