while i applaud your attempt at trying to change one of the many problems in our society i beleive you are going about it the wrong way.
the pharmaceutical industry spends millions of dollars every year lobbying congress to pass laws in their favor, which translates into free trips, dinners, campaign contributions, etc ( how do you think hillary clinton and mitt romney raised so much damn money in the 6 months they have been running for president?)
basically you call your local representative all you want, they will take your message and thank you for your time, while at the same time they will take all the wonderfull gifts given to them by the drug companies in exchange for um, whatever, use your imagination.
the only way you are going to make a change is to elect a president who actually cares about the people in this country and believes in a true free market economy, i only know of one who feels this way.

too true...
my moms friend just got back from poland and brought back some drugs for her (over the counter prescription)
every thing was less then half price, and we live in canada where we are supposed to have good medical and ----
