no, they attached an oil pressure gauge on the end of the feed... another supporting fact that they needed to drive it to dump it.

I'm not sure what the insurance company is gonna do... they'll probably say it'll take xxxx.xx amount to get it back to stock, so we can either have a shop do that for you or just give you the money and you can take the car as is.

If that's the case, I may be inclined to take the car and do the work myself, but I have no idea what shape the engine is in.
