Stock Oil pressure sensor size ** PICS ADDED**
What size is that stock oil pressure sensor on the back of the block? 12mm? 14mm? I can't see it worth ---- and I'm just debating if i should just pull my motor or not to put this stupid ass fitting in...

Re:what size is the stock oil pressure sensor on the back of a d block?
take your intake manifold off...drain the coolant, take the intake in with the oil line, make sure to get a new gasket and your set. alot easier then going from under neath and or taking the motor out. i jsut did that yesterday and it took about 20 mintues, but i didnt drain the coolant so there is a nice ass puddle on my drive way. :) thank god its raining today or else my mom would be pissed

Re:what size is the stock oil pressure sensor on the back of a d block?
well how did you get to all of the intake bolts?
those are also a bitch to get at btw, this is just a ZC in a 91 crx |
Re:what size is the stock oil pressure sensor on the back of a d block?
well i dont have the bracket that supports the manifold bolted up and i reached my fat hands underthere and un bolted em. took some time but its a lot easier then pulling the motor
|
Re:what size is the stock oil pressure sensor on the back of a d block?
well i never put that bracket back on either so yeah
i'll go out and ---- around with it and i'll post out it came out... the reason why i was thinkin about pulling teh whole motor was then i could clean the fucker off , i blew an axle peice apart and it got ---- all over. that plus a piece of my oil cap (on the valve cover) broke off but i dont know if i give a ---- about that cuz it is just plastic.... but who knows i'll prolly find that in the oil pan |
Re:what size is the stock oil pressure sensor on the back of a d block?

Re:what size is the stock oil pressure sensor on the back of a d block?
This is a DOHC ZC? You're trying to attach an oil feed line? Take the ------- intake manifold off. Unless you have midget magician hands and a little monkey you're not going to get it without taking the manifold off. I think that pressure sensor is a 24mm.

I just took off my exhuast manifold, radiator, and intake manifold. i see the little biatch oil sensor now =] god the back of my block is friggen dirty as hell. I had a light below and as i took the intake manifold off the light bulb blew up (some antifreeze got ont he fucker) and it blew up it freaked the hell out of me becuase there was a little bit of gas all over ....lol damn in-tank pressure!. well anyays it is off and I can get to it really good, i'm going to take some pictures |
Re:what size is the stock oil pressure sensor on the back of a d block?
I must have a little monkey that helped me cause i managed to pull the oil press sensore off by just getting ender the car, taking off the oil filter and using a little vise grip and lots of profanity to pull it off. Took me bout a hour to pull of, then put in the brass fitting and stuff.

An hour worth of being under the car in a shitty position? :-\ It took me less than that to pull the intake, hook up the feed line, degrease the intake, and put the intake back on and I didn't have to climb under the car one time. :P It's not worth the hassle IMO. If I had a lift, that would be a different story. __________________ Best Car Insurance | Auto Protection Today | FREE Trade-In Quote |

I seen them as I was driving past and im like, whoa. He wanted $20 but of course got him talked down on them :) lol weak ass 185/60/14s :) but hey...atleast they aren't like my HMT slicks that im currently rollin on http://www.sunfox.net/crx/tires.jpg And here is the rest of the bondo car...bondo everywhere...if you only knew how much filler was on this car, you can see the other pictures of it @ http://www.cardomain.com/id/ssl2k for the pics of how it got rear ended and ----....but seriously there is a ---- load of filler on this car... shaved door handles and trim lines http://www.sunfox.net/crx/bondo_door.jpg anyways check that out and you can see the other pics like i said at http://www.cardomain.com/id/ssl2k sorry but my camera sucks nuts nathan |
Re:what size is the stock oil pressure sensor on the back of a d block?
omg, you have the best camera in the world, haha, reminds me of my old camera.
is it really that hard to get to that ----------er? did you guys ever try taking the oil filter off and getting it from underneath, I know, it sounds easy, but it really is. |
Re:Stock Oil pressure sensor size ** PICS ADDED**
I had my oil filter off and tired to get at it and it was a no go...but who cares I got the intake manifold off and it is good that i did that becuase I needed to replace the injectors and other ---- anyways...

Re:Stock Oil pressure sensor size ** PICS ADDED**
On a SOHC it's very easy. On a DOHC it's pretty fucked up down there. Here is a better pic of an oil line on my ZC:

Re:Stock Oil pressure sensor size ** PICS ADDED**
I'm pretty sure I can get that ---- from underneath on the b16, I'll let you know how it goes
|
Re:Stock Oil pressure sensor size ** PICS ADDED**
You really went ape ---- on that oil sensor ....lol
okay quick question about oil lines... If i were to run a nipple/adapter piece to a 1/8th inch nylon tubing to a 3 way T that is on the firewall, then run from there, the stock oil sensor, and then an aftermarket sensor, then a feedline, will that 1/8th nylon piece beable to move enough oil for the pressure gauge and then the feedline? nathan |
Re:Stock Oil pressure sensor size ** PICS ADDED**
Boy if you have to take your intake manifold off to do a oil line install your a ------- idiot.. ::)
It looks like your engine is just hanging there anyways, you might as well just take the entire thing out so you can do the whole turbo install on it on the engine stand then put it back in, rofl. |
Re:Stock Oil pressure sensor size ** PICS ADDED**
thanks.......biatch.
jeff what is your home address so i can send you a dead fish or something? main reason why i could get at the bitch was becuase of the ------ rubber boot that was cooked onto it |
Re:Stock Oil pressure sensor size ** PICS ADDED**
hahaha, a dead fish, I can't remember his address, but I wouldn't give it to you anyways because I like being a member of this site.

Re:Stock Oil pressure sensor size ** PICS ADDED**

At work we like to work smarter not harder. If I can do it faster and easier a certain way, you're god damn right I'm going to do it that way. Why ---- my neck up laying on the ground getting covered in grease trying to squeeze an orange into a hole the size of a grape? Remember, we don't all have the luxury of pulling our cars onto a lift and having access to the entire underside of the car, but thanks for your kind words. ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) On a SOHC it would be cake, but a DOHC ZC is a bit harder, but I guess I'm just a ------- idiot so I'll go back to banging my head against the wall and reminding myself to breathe between bashings. ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) Don't you just love those rolly eye smilies? :-* __________________ Best Car Insurance | Auto Protection Today | FREE Trade-In Quote |

Re:Stock Oil pressure sensor size ** PICS ADDED**
if you can take off your oil filter you can take off the oil pressure sensor. that's if you know where the oil pressure sensor is.

you failed to mention that one of the npt to AN fitting broke, Of course you can do it without removing the intake, but if I can do it faster and easier by just removing the intake, why the ---- not? I'd have the intake halfway off by the time you got the car up on jack stands and I wouldn't even get dirty doing it. :P Why are we argueing over this? ??? __________________ Best Car Insurance | Auto Protection Today | FREE Trade-In Quote |
