good ----, i'll try that out, manifolds are easy to "throw over the fence" at my local junkyards, thats how i get my turbos too std manifold with adapter plate on a b18 is next, hmt style =\

there is hope for us ghetto *** b series people yet.. well it's nice to know that it's possible at least. Hell the F22 people have the DSM manifolds. D people have the STD/HF/CX manifolds + plates. Umm.. I think that's about it.
Anyways, please post a nice writeup if you do get this accomplished, I want to see the ghettoness in full effect. Wonder if it's A/C compatible :P
To answer your questions on welding cast, mild steel is not supposed to stick to it and I don't know if I would trust it with high amounts of heat. Yes I know people have done it but it's not what I was taught to do. Welding cast requires nickel rods (very $$$) and staged heat for the welds to come out perfect and have strength. Have you ever heard of the process of a machine shop repairing a cracked block/head.. it's a bitch.
