Default Starter Current Draw?

Does anyone know what the stock starter in a d-series draws. The shop accross the street from mine said on average, a starter can draw up to 300 amps. I am going to install a fusible link or circuit breaker on my remote battery. I can get up to a 150 amp breaker and up to a 300 amp fuse from my supplier. I would like to install the breaker simply because of the ease of reseting it.

Any insight would be much appriciated.

More than 60 amps(less than 200)

Do the circuit breaker. I tried a 60 amp fuse when I did my relocation kit and it lasted about 2 seconds when I tried to start it. I got a Phoenix Gold Circuit Breaker now, 150 amp (I think, maybe 200) and it's awesome, it's never tripped, and when I store the car, I just push the test button to disconnect the battery.
