And to add not all b2600 trans' work. only the 87-88 because they used the same 2.6L bottom end as the starquests. The B2600 is an R series trans, the same as the TII and the FD. If you wanted to use the narrow block you can use the Mighty Max trans but its weak. The best solution ive heard is the Mighty Max trans with the Starion internals if you wanna swap a 4g63

---- it. Make your own. If the adapter is 1" thick, just make a spacer. Find a good torque converter shop and tell them what you want to do, chances are theyve done something of the nature in one form or another. It really wont be hard for them to measure/weld new inserts to your converter to bolt a 4g63 flexplate to a GM 9" converter. Starter clearance will be the only issue. Not a big one though.
