Are you talking about from the rubber or the hard ? If you mean rubber, and if you have a good deal go for it. If it's the hardlines you want to upgrade, I would say no.

yea big difference. The tire would actually lock up earlier with the same pedal travel compare to rubber line. also makes HUGE improvement on panic stops. :y

Unless spongy expanding brake lines are a common problem on your vehicle, I'd skip the braided lines. What I've seen as a test is to wrap the whole rubber line with big zip ties. If braking response at the limit improves, then you can deduce that the lines were expanding.

Do they make a noticibly/worthwhile difference if your braking system is stock?

Re: Are stainless steel brake lines worth it?

yes.

and for a new brake set-up, i would go with a turned brake rotor or a new "autozone" blank. yes autozone

and for pads, get something good like hawk. well worth the $$ there.

LSD quoted me a pretty dam good price. if I didnt need the ---- right away, i would have bought it. I wouldnt go with a cross drilled rotor if you plan on doing any kind of serious hard braking. drilled rotors are prone to crack. just my $.02

Re: Are stainless steel brake lines worth it?

Yeah, my first new set of rotors were drilled.. didnt do ----. So i am going with blanks and some good pads.

Re: Are stainless steel brake lines worth it?

ss lines, powerslot rotors, hawk pads. for the calipers, i'd leave em stock, you're going to get a good enough upgrade with the rotors and pads and lines that you wont need it a whole lot.
