Okay. Srt's are not that bad of cars. By no way shape or form are they slow. Yeah they came from the factory running 14.0s. Yes its still a Neon but a rather faster neon. I drive one daily right now cause my civic is down. The car moves. And not many people have beaten this car. No Evo and def not STI......The car ran 13.1mph at like 105 or so on bald street tires before some of the things that are done to it now were done. Now the car is actually faster than that. When my friend first got the car he got beat by an ex coupe with a z6 motor and super 60 on 11psi. Off the top of my head thats the only race we ever lost. Any Evo that has stepped up has gotten beat and also STI's. Before the intake manifold and other things were done, the car made 260whp and 310lb ft torque @ 16ish psi untuned. Not saying that the car is unbeatable. Just saying don't sleep on it or them.

my .02 cents

They like to think that it's not a neon anymore now that it has a turbo.
like some people like to think its not a honda anymore cuz it has a turbo ?
I've NEVER heard anyone claim their Honda wasn't a Honda after putting a turbo on it. Every SRT owner I've seen always claims their Neon isn't a Neon. That should tell you something. :P If I were that ashamed of my car to where I had to lie about what it is, I'd sell it. :P

Exhaust is a big allowence on the SRT4's their stock exhaust is very restrictive to comply with emission standards. Apparently it can help a lot, but I really don't know how much.

Wonder how long they last as far as the longevity of the car over time.

One of the local SRT-4 guys cut off his cats and ran 2.5" piping through a Dynomax Welded Ultraflow, let half the air out of his factory rubber, and installed a boost controller. 16-17 psi, he was stroking a lot of the Cobra + LS1 guys from a roll, and not doing too bad from a launch. Stock Cobra + LS1, but those are pretty strong cars.
