are we comparing a base model neon to gay looking stock honda cars? NO, specifically the SRT4 against gay looking hondas. stock srt4 vrs stock honda. the only thing a honda can beat a srt4 at is long term reliabily. NOT HARD WHEN YOU MAKE 117hp.

It's still a neon. How reliable is that pile of ----? Is it going to fall apart at 40,000 miles like the rest of the neons? The neon can't even come close to Honda as far as reliability goes. How many neons have you seen with 200,000+ miles and still running like a champ?

how long have they been around? do you know if the srt4 will last 200k? NO. do i NO. are there any that have been driven that much yet? MAYBE. go ask in the srt4 forums before you talk ---- you do not know about. btw 200k + on a honda and still running "like a champ" is not the norm.

I think the power the SRT4 produces is impressive and would make for a nice little racer. I don't like the looks of it and since Dodge decided to base it off the low budget neon body style, they fucked up. If they would have branched off into a different category and gave it a new name with a different look, they might have made a few more friends.

they made the srt4 to be a sport compact. what other car does dodge have that is a compact? OK THEN. why would they build another totally new car... that would drive the price up too much. dodge is smart... they sell a lot of srt4s <= 20k can go wrong. dodge has been making 4 cylinder cars that outperform all i4 hondas except maybe the s2000 (in terms of quickness and engine output)

Now its a little more biased. I still would take the minivan over the SRT-4. My friend bought an SRT4 about 6 months ago and he's already selling it cause he doesn't like it

It's impossible to argue with someone who is 110% domestic biased. That piece of ---- neon could be the ugliest, slowest, most unreliable heap of hell on the road and you would still be swinging off it's nuts talking about how great it is. Oh well........

Depends on what track your talking about. Honda's were never designed to go in a straight line, the SRT-4 was.

Straight line = Dodge
Turns = Honda

Its all on opinion which car is better is in the eye of the beholder. And the price would be about the same if Dodge invested a little more on their interior :P

you are wrong whitey, srt4 would walk all over a hype r on a road course, and a civic si would get laped.

and no im not completly bias for "domestic" cars. if honda made a car that didnt SUCK ***. i would like it.

IMO honda has no car STOCK, that is worth the money. NSX yah right 80k 290hp MY ***. viper baby

hype R? slow FWD 9k revving no torque pos.

civic si, ugly slow ext.

s2k pretty cool except the 9k revving no torque i4. v6 in s2k = THATS A GOOD CAR. i would sing its praises.

whitey:

if you bother'd to read the post, those are not car and driver stats, those are FACTS about the cars.

boost, when you're proved wrong you always try and come up with some internet typical sarcastic stupid *** comment...
you cant sit here and argue that a clearly superior car is not that because its shaped like a "neon"... just because the neon stock can rape your turbocharged honda that keeps blowing up motors, you dont have to be jealous.

just because a srt4 can make 400hp at the wheels and be under warrenty, doesnt mean you have to be jealous.
