Thanks man, it found 70 problems in the pc, and they are now gone.

i use http://fedora.redhat.com/, and haven't had a problem with spyware/adware/viruses since ;)...lol

but yeah, adaware and spybot are your best friends...but make sure you backup your registry just in case before you start using them.

Ive never had a problem with the registry with spybot..We run it on a lot of the computers for the state. Always has solved our problems

I used adaware, but it doesn't get rid of everything....I'll try spybot with it.

best one i used yet for spyware/adware removal is

and good online virus scan thats free
http://www.trendmicro.com/
when i just checked this link they were down so if they come back up they are good if u dont feel like buying anti virus software

I prefer remvoing spyware by hand. All ya gotta do is find out which DLL's are attaching to iexplore.exe, unregister them and voila. I'll sometimes manually remove something, run Spybot/AdAware and they come up clean...guess I'm doin something right ;D
