I use fedora 4 currently. I was thinking of moving to ubuntu. What advantages is their in mepis.

oh ----...so i ran some spyware ---- last night, think this new one... found bunch of ----.... i restarted my computer and it said it was infected. (dont think it had anything to do with that, just the fact that i haved rebooted my computer in a while)...like it changed my background to say that ----...it was fucked my virus scan ---- was going apeshit with popup warnings...i ran all my adaware ---- and they found shitloads of stuff each, ---- seem fine now after restarting my computer and letting them run both again...

anywany so my computer got owned.


there anyway to slow this ---- down? do i just need to run these softwares every couple of day?

Honestly, on my PC's I use Firefox, and I have a firewall. No anti viruses or anti spyware programs, and the longest Been running like this for 9 months and no problems yet.

um... its just setup in a super easy way. it installs from a live cd so its pretty fast. um... other than that, it comes with almost everything you need. forfox codecs for videos. video codecs.

As long as you don't have any of those file sharing programs and use FireFox and keep up with your Windows Updates, you will be good. Oh yeah and atleast use the firewall in windows. And if your not using SP2 yet what the ---- is your problem?

sp2 is pure ----, just wait till windows vista comes out.

i was reading on some websight that the current linux kernel has 204 lines of arronous code. windows, over a couple thousand just in the windows software.


windows vista will hopefully be way way wya betterr.
