SpyAxe call-athon

If anyone has heard of the "SpyAxe" trojan (AKA zlob, spywar strike) it has been traced back to this person:

David Taylor
U-12 Gamma Commercial Complex #47 Rizal Highway cor. Manila 187th Ave S. (?)
Seattle, Washington 98101
Email:david.alant@gmail.com
Phone: (206)-339-5073

Feel free to give him a call and tell him how cool he is...

*edit* pics were only working on firefox, not IE so i deleted them.

Because it takes awhile to actualy get programs to work on it, and dont tell me it doesnt because im running fedora core 4. and even using yum to install packages insted of downloading the rpm's. it still takes awhile. It is more of a pain in the ass to get everything working correctly on a linux system than it is to make windows a secure stable system. Do you honestly think that half of these people would be able to even install rpm's? let alone, run the program in terminal to find out you dont have the right library files or theres some other fucked up reason your programs not working. Its fun to mess around with to get everything working, but in no way shape or form can it hold a candle to windows functionaly, ease of use, or random things like 3d processing. Opengl bites cock. the gimp bites cock. if you just used linux to surf the internet it works great, but as soon as you need to do something most normal computer users would have to take their computer somewhere to have whatever done to it. Like installing graphics drivers. Do you think someones going to copy the etc/x11/xorg.config manualy to use the right drivers go into terminal *whatever*init 3 to exit X then cp the new file over the old one? ------- doubt it.

thats the thing. i have never been needing to do that. some people rag on the debian system, but i love it. you go into synaptic, get whatever you want, and boom, its installed. no hassles no nothing. i used to use suse for a while, and that ---- pissed me the ---- off. mainly because you would have o alwase check to see if the rpms where valid n ----., and sometimes yast wouldnt install them at all. it would trym, and not even go forward. just completly skip that step. so i was fed up.

i loaded like 100 different versions of linux on this computer. so far, the only versions i liked where dsl( damn small linux) and simply mepis. forget trying to get some others to work. the moment they realized that my omputer is smp enabled, boom, they crash. lol. im hindered in mepis cus its not an smp enabled kernel but in dsl i am, but im hindered by a not so great gui. flux box is great, but kde is better.

also, solaris 10 will piss you ther ---- off.

Damn rawr, calm down. Your right for the most part. If linux is used to surf the internet then it is great. I am still an idiot when it comes to linux, but I also don't have to get caught in that money pit trying to make windows secure. I am sure that those who are smarter can do it for little or no money. Personally I like not having to reload my os because it has benn attacked from every possible angle. For functionality, the simplest functions are pretty easy to use with kde. As far as using all the fancy features that windows can offer then your are right linux cannot hold a candle. Yes linux can be glitchy but so can other freeware such as Uberdata. They work pretty well and guess what they're free.

Oh did I forget to mention that I am a cheap bastard and paying 100 there 200 there and 50 a year here on my computer is too much. I like to build them and use them without having to constantly maintain them. The money spent on my computer is better spent, in my little world, on my cars. Windows cost too ------- much for what I use my computer for. Do I use linux exclusively, no. I use it on the computer that I surf the internet most frequently with.

Although I haven't tried many other other versions, debian is pretty kick ass. ;D

hrm, i have the program somewhere, when i go home i;ll look for it. you run it and it launches a dos box with a bunch of serials, then you open the windows registration and select register by phone, and you put in the number and violla you got registerd windows that can get updates off the site.

I didn't pay ---- for my windows, I get updates, and I don't get viruses...if I do, it's not hard to get rid of them.

Not running a Microsoft email client, and not clicking on stupid attachments, is 95% of not getting a virus.

A lot of those got blacklisted too. I was running that, and got blocked. So after you switch the XP key, it'll probably make you install "windows genuine advantage". After that, open up an IE window and go into the tools menu and click on 'manage add ons...'

from there, you want to disable the 'Windows Genuine Advantage' plugin. Voila, you're set.

This guy's instructions has pictures.
