i'm pretty sure the only "special" features about the car are the wheels. i can't think of anything else on it that's any different from any other civic.

that is a different model though, the mirrors are painted while the door molding is black ABS. My '96 ex has painted both, and my buddies' cx and dx both have black both, i don't remember what the HX had, it's a Y8 right?

That looks like the first initial and Last Initial is 'SI'. I think that that name is responsible for the civic SI model. I wish I could decipher it, but I've searched all over the net with different spellings and come up with nothing. Hope this helps in the search.
