spearco race intercoolers on ebay???

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2454647992

Just been looking at these things. It looks to me like they bought a spearco core and TIG welded some end tanks on and spraypainted a spearco logo.

youd have a hell of a time fitting that in a honda bumper and keeping the support

Few cromoly pieces left over from a cage fab could make a very nice bumper reinforcement...

Something I find odd is that these auctions are selling their intercoolers for less than I can buy a core for.

I bought mine last year sometime from this guy and its a nice piece but i did question if it was a spearco or not. But im happy with it and i got a deal on it i paid less than what he was getting for it on ebay cause i emailed him for a specific size.

Oh and if you email him with a size you want he pretty much has them in any size you need. But i know the custom coach ones look nice and are pretty cheap as well.

I just find it odd when you find someone who is selling items for less than I can buy the raw materials for. I will probably not pay someone to make something I can make in my basement but I'm still wondering where they buy their cores from... I salvage mine from Mack trucks but they're a PITA to clean up and weld. Mmmm 500,000 miles worth a diesel oil.

I had one of those. They are very nice intercoolers and the welds are flawless. The cores are Spearco, but the end tanks are not. The logo "Spearco" is just very cheesily painted on the core which bugs the hell out of me. You can always flip it around and not have the gay ass logo up front, or you can just buy a CustomCoach FMIC and save some money while you're at it. ;)

BTW, the reason the shipping is so outrageous is because they ship out of Canada. I don't have a clue why they list NY as the location and ship from Canada. ??? I was a bit pissed when I found that out because it took so damn long to get here. :-\
