Soon to be buying some turbo goodies need some questions answered
So say your buying parts from someone on a forum for over 1,000 dollars how would you go about paying. Would you write a check so you could cancel it if you never recieve the product??

Re: Soon to be buying some turbo goodies need some questions answered
No, you would pay with paypal so you have 30 days to file a fraud claim.
I hope for$1000 you're getting alot. ??? |
Re: Soon to be buying some turbo goodies need some questions answered
1. make sure person has parts ready to ship at time of payment.
2. make very clear that you will be paying via paypal and after 15-20 days those parts are not in your hand, you will be filing a fraud claim with paypal. 3. dont send money to people who post ads that say ---- like "yo i got these fat turbo's for sale hella cheap dawg" that's how i roll. |

Re: Soon to be buying some turbo goodies need some questions answered
You're missing the turbo, and there seems to be some things in there that you won't/don't need. You could build a kit for half of that. (IMO)

Re: Soon to be buying some turbo goodies need some questions answered
well, i really want to stay ac compatible and the manifold, dumptube, downpipe and intercooler piping come from spoolin performance. What don't i need in the list above i want to save money anyway possible.

Re: Soon to be buying some turbo goodies need some questions answered
I guess it depends on the quality of the parts we're talking about, but since you're trying to keep a/c, I'm not talking to you anymore. 8)

yeh you could build a kit cheaper than that. I've never paid anyone close to that amount of money online and neve would unless it was an established company. for what you are already spending you might as well buy a guareenteed proven results turbo kit. that what it sounds like your trying to buy... a kit ( not build your own correct?) but yeh you are missing the most important piece in the kit...the turbo I didn't see any fuel management for the 550's spark plugs you should buy new any way unless he's selling you 4 for the price of one that's all i caught I personally think you can get a better deal how long was the stuff on their car and do they have and pics? |
Re: Soon to be buying some turbo goodies need some questions answered
i'm not sure i don't think he ever put it on his car. i believe al of this is brand new. And i know i'm missing the turbo i plan on buying a t3 .48/.60. I also plan to buy a chipped ECU from xenocron w/ ostrich, and tune w/ uberdata.

Re: Soon to be buying some turbo goodies need some questions answered
well from most people i know, when they buy incomplete kits
they spend all their money getting it, and trying to gather money again to compensate for what they spent and never get around to buying the rest of the stuff and end up selling it. your spending over a 1000 dollas on good name brand stuff so your probably gonna spend 250 -300 on a good turbo ECU chipping 125+ and misc. stuff when installing. i say do a little more research before you cut them a check I've been peicing my new kit together since Jan. and i just broke a 1000 and all the stuff i bought i didn't need :EDIT: I haven't even spent 700 yet Parts Acquired 1. T3 turbo $120 2. HF manifold .. $46 3. 1G DSM BOV .. $46 4. Greddy filter ... $---- 5. Couplers ... $---- 6. Starion intercooler $30 7. Downpipe flange $25 8. 3 in Turbo muffler . $--- 9. DSM 390cc injectors $31.20 10. LED Boost gauge .. $25. 11. Autometer A/F gauge $---- 12. Apex-i S-AFC .$125 13. BMC HF toT3 adapter plate .. $35 14. Intercooler piping(Mandrel) $60 15. Turner Toys T3 oil line kit . $60 16. Greddy Turbo Timer $60 Total Spent- $663.20( shipping included) check and see if he is the original owner of this stuff or if it has been installed if not then there s a good chance you can talk him down because he more than likely wants to get rid of it more. |
