hey jago,
my brother told me that the newest version was cracked within 3 days after it was released. so if you plan on running mame or any other emulators for that matter go with any model. the newer version has more ram, but is built like a piece of ----.

yeah buy new. i bought a used from gamestop with the 1 yr warranty, had a shitload of dead pixels. then i returned it for a refurbished one, same price, more dead pixels. so i told the ------- at gamestop, that acted like he couldn't see the cluster of pixels blocking ecco as i played sega classics, to ---- off the warranty and just give me a new one. haven't had an issue since.

im a bit scared to downgrade mine. will it make me upgrade again at some point, or does the downgrade take care of that stuff?

werd. I bought one cheap on eBay. It was fun to mess with and everything but I just ended up selling it to my buddy. I just don't have enough down-time where I play it. I have too much school work right now.

I've been looking around, what do you guys usually pay for used ones? I'm still interested, just gotta sell some of my excess bs off to fund it.

Bought one tonight

$70 with two games, works great. Firmware version 2.81

only problem I can see is I can't get it to connect to anything worth a damn.

Gonna try to download a game here soon via torrent and see how it works out
